Water Transfer Printing

HYDRO GRAPHICS

High-definition patterns applied to any surface. Camo, carbon fibre, timber grain, skulls, and hundreds more. If it exists as a film, we can dip it.

WHAT IS HYDRO DIPPING?

Hydrographics (also known as hydro dipping or water transfer printing) is a method of applying printed designs to three-dimensional surfaces. A thin film is floated on water, activated with a chemical, and the item is dipped through the film, wrapping the pattern around every contour.

The result is a seamless, high-definition pattern that covers the entire surface, including curves, edges, and recesses that other printing methods can't reach. Finished with a clear coat for durability and UV protection.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Almost anything: metal, plastic, wood, glass, ceramics, and fibreglass. If it can be submerged in water and accept a base coat, it can be hydro dipped. Common items include firearms, helmets, automotive parts, game controllers, and motorcycle parts.
The hydrographic film is sealed with an automotive-grade clear coat that provides UV protection, scratch resistance, and chemical resistance. With proper care, the finish will last for years of regular use.
Yes, the base coat colour affects the final appearance of the pattern. For example, a camo film over a tan base will look different than over a black base. We'll help you choose the right base colour for the look you're after.
Most hydro dipping jobs are completed within 1-2 weeks, depending on the item size, preparation required, and current workload. We'll give you a timeline when we quote.
